Apatite Jewelry

Apatite is a relatively unknown gem, mostly mined in Madagascar. With a hardness of only 5, which is similar to opal, this gem is only suitable for pendants and earrings. The color is one of the most extraordinary in the gem world. With gems over 2 carats being quite rare, the sizes we have are typically only seen in museums. If these gems were a little more durable they would be among our most expensive gems.
