Large welo opal measures 19 x 15 x 9 millimeters with Red, orange, yellow and green colors. Unusual faceting add more reds to the color pallet of this fine opal from Ethiopia. Remarkably high clarity and top notch polish. Cut right here in our custom design jewelry shop in Crown Point, IN USA by owner and precision gemstone cutter, Steve Moriarty. This loose opal was sourced from Ethiopia, a fairly new source discovered in 2008 that produces hydrophane opals that absorb liquids and resist crazing. Work one on one with our in house award winning jewelry designer Christopher Michael to create a stunning one of a kind design to house your Ethiopian opal!
