A truly exceptional imperial zircon with a color slightly more red than most giving it a warmth unlike any other imperial zircon that we have cut. Cut by Marsha Tokarski. One 19.00 carats stepped oval Imprerial zircon, peach color, VS clarity, cut grade excellent, measuring 12 mm wide, 17 mm long, 9.2 mm deep. The proportions of the Imprerial zircon are as follows: total depth 76.6%. Heated twice to enhance the color. The first heating of the rough turned it deep red but the zircon lacked brilliance. The second heating was done after cutting and gave us this exceptional color. Pictures show the original preformed rough. The original weight was 41 carats. Also shown are the heat coil used to change the color.
