My name is Alistair Hunter-Gafur.  I had my mother-in-law Iris, order this Ethiopian opal antique cabochon ring on my behalf for my wife’s 55 birthday.  She first saw an Ethiopian opal on the shopping channel and fell in love with it.  That same night we went on Google and searched Ethiopian opal rings and she saw this one on your OpalLust website and gasped at how beautiful it was. She made me promise to buy her one in the future as we recently did some major renovations and she did not want me spending that kind of money this year.     I surprised her with this ring for her birthday last week and I cannot even begin to describe her reaction when she saw this ring.  The ring that you created is now her prize possession. It is absolutely stunning!!!  I want to thank all of you at OpalLust.   Alice, my mother-in-law has been communicating with you through my email.  You have been very helpful and professional.  You were very quick to respond when she emailed you with a question.  My mother-in-law and I were both concerned that the ring would not make it here in time but as you promised it arrived the day after you shipped it.  The certificate for appraisal and the additional paperwork on opals was also a nice touch.  The box that the ring was presented in was beautiful and classy.  My experience with your company has been one of the most pleasant interactions and the quality of the ring is beyond what we expected.  It is truly a work of art.     I just wanted to take a minute to thank you and to tell you how incredibly pleased we are with everything.

I was looking around for a jeweler to replace the Tanzanite in my engagement ring. The original was cloudy and dull, but the rest of the mounting diamonds and gold were good quality. I have known and dealt with two jewelers in the area for a long time, but they were not familiar with Tanzanite. In my search to find someone that knew and could replace my center stone at a reasonable cost, I found a site Tanzanite Jewelry Designs. I called them, e-mailed photos of my ring and picked a stone that was about the same size as mine. They called me back for further discussion and I sent the ring to them. When they received it they e-mailed me photos of my ring post resetting, the stone I picked, along with another stone that would work. I called them with my decision and they mounted the ring. In between the time I sent the ring we went on vacation for nine days. They mailed me my ring on the Monday after we returned and I received it the next day!!!! Mike and Steve you were such a pleasure to work with and my ring is BEAUTIFUL!! Also, they are in Indiana and I live in Virginia. All I had to go on was trust and they delivered perfectly! If I am ever that way I will be sure to visit!

We came to this shop after going shopping in Schererville and Crown Point Indiana. We had ate at a restaurant door the way and decided to come in...and I glad we did. The owner, Steve, was very nice and gave us some additional education on many of the stones we were looking at. Some of these I had never seen before. I ended up purchasing a tzavorite (may be misspelled) gemstone, which I will hopefully set the next time I am out there. It was a great shop with some unique jewelry and I will sure to be back.

My wife and I looked at quite a few different jewelers in Chicago and northwest Indiana. We use to live in Indiana and that's why we came back. Steve from Moriarty's Gem Art was the most knowledgeable and helpful. After looking at a few other jewelers, we bought from him. The pink Sapphire had the nicest cut, color and they even made a custom design for us. I recommend them. Thanks Steve!

This place is WAY better than any other jewelry place I've ever been to. Yes, the selection isn't as big as say... Albert's or Kay but, the stuff they carry is amazing! They can custom make or order anything from their catalogs for you to see (no charge and usually within a couple days)I purchased an engagement ring and both our wedding bands here.  The staff is amazing! Customer satisfaction is definitely their top priority. They take the time to show you all kinds of settings and stones as well as helping you narrow your selection and guide you as you browse the seemingly endless array of semiprecious and precious gems they carry.  They have Raw stones, uncut and still in the media it was found in. One of the neatest things we saw there was the raw Tanzanite. Second on the list was the dinosaur bone ring and third was the fossilized trilobite on display.  We absolutely LOVE this place, the staff, selection and 'oh cool!' factor of what they have all add up to a solid 5 for both of us.

My fiancé and I stumbled upon this hidden gem while antique shopping around the square and we are soo glad we decided to stop in and check it out! They have a pretty decent selection of beautiful loose gems and jewelry ready to be sold! And they have custom gem cutting on site! The staff here is phenomenal Steve (I think that's his name) travels all around for all of the beautiful gems you see there and has some awesome pictures of his journey! Alice, where to begin with Alice? They are very lucky to have her on their team! She was just soo nice! We went in told her we aren't looking for anything just saw this place while shopping around n decided to stop in...even knowing we weren't going to buy anything that day she spent like an hour just talking to us, showing us all the awesome stuff they have there, listening to us go on and on about our relationship and wedding plans and she never made us feel like we were wasting her time. I highly recommend going to check this place out even if you're not looking to buy anything. This place is uber awesome!

This is the real deal. These guys go to Tanzania, hang with the locals and have the best Tanzanite I've ever seen. The deepest blues and purples. Blackish at times.

I have a few pieces from here (earrings, necklace and a ring), and love all of them!  Moriarty's has awesome gems from around the world, unique and one of a kind designs, and great service from the staff.  I always get compliments on my pieces!  My mom also has a gorgeous opal necklace that they helped create that she loves, has great color to it!  Both of us would definitely recommend them over any other jewelry store.  I don't think you can say other jeweler stores travel around the world to pick out exotic gem stones!!!

Just recently had a large Morganite ring created for my wife. She had picked it out of a magazine and since I bought my engagement ring from Moriarty jewelers, I decided to back for this ring as well.  Picked it up last Saturday and it was beautiful. Over 6cts and 1.33cts in Diamonds. Gave it to my wife when I came home and she loved it. It was just how she pictured it. Thanks again Steve...I will be back!

I purchased my diamond engagement ring from Moriarty's Gem Art, specifically Steve Moriarty. I found them on the internet, moregems.com. Steve was great. Very professional with me. I had a custom 1.5ct platinum ring created for my then girlfriend. She loved it....and of course said yes. We will be coming back before the wedding in July for matching platinum bands.

My wife and I came to moriartys gem art as a friend told us it was an great place if you are looking for more unique gems. My wife wanted a tanzanite ring custom designed. It was very hard to find tanzanite where we are from (southwest Indiana). We were amazing by the collection of tanzanite they had. We were able to pick out the stone she liked and had a custom design done for us. The whole process took about 3 weeks, but my wife and I were very happy witht he end result. Thank you Mike and Steve for all your help.

I bought a great pair of Blue Zircon earrings from Moriarty's Gem Art back in June for my girlfriend. She had never even heard of Blue Zircon. I was going to get Topaz, but Steve showed me the Zircon and I loved them. We go back every couple weeks to get them cleaned...for free :-) If you read this Steve, I will be back for an engagement ring soon! The one you showed me!

I was looking for Tanzanite after seeing their website online. Since I lived in Chicago, I decided to drive out to Crown Point, Indiana, as it was only about 45min. I was able find a large selection of Tanzanite, and came back a couple times and finally purchased. I was very happy with the selection and how close it was to Chicago.
