One 6.32 carats faceted cushion opal from Ethiopia, cut grade excellent, measuring 12 mm wide, 16.3 mm long, 9.7 mm deep; with excellent polish and excellent symmetry. The proportions of the opal are as follows: total depth 80.8%, table width 44.2%. The opal also has a crown angle of 44° and a pavilion angle of 45°. Faceted by Steve Moriarty. A unique opal having the crystalline character that allows for faceting. The benefit of faceting is the broad red flashes you get reflected by the pavilion that are unrelated to play of color.
