One 15.85 carats round portuguese citrine quartz from Uraguay, orange color, FLAWLESS TO VVS clarity, cut grade excellent, measuring 16 mm wide, 16 mm long, 12.7 mm deep; with excellent polish and excellent symmetry. The proportions of the citrine quartz are as follows: total depth 79.4%. Near perfect overall quality rating of 992 out of 1000. Citrine was enhanced by heating. This material started out a purple (amethyst) and heated to orange. Cut by Steve Moriarty.
This is the top of the citrine colors. Before the Uruguay discovery 20 plus years ago this color had been absent in the market since the early 1980s when I bought a parcel of Brazilian citrine with this extra ordinary color. Spessartite look at a quartz price
