Large 254.84ct Unheated Gem Tanzanite Crystal

This outstanding blocky Tanzanite crystal has natural and unheated color. We contemplated on cutting this beauty up because it has a few great clean areas towards the termination of the crystal. Our gem cutter estimates that it could possibly cut three very clean stones that weigh around: a 13 carat, 4 carat, and and a 2 carat. They might not be the top top color, but if finished they will produce beautiful lighter gemstones when heated.
That being said, we are not cutting this piece because we think it is an amazing aesthetic mineral specimen and will offer it as is. It will make a great addition to any crystal & mineral display. It currently weighs 254.84ct and measures 52.2mm x 19.9mm x 23.7mm. Locality: Merelani Hills, Tanzania
